PRINCIPAL MESSAGE:Parents, Guardians and Students, Warmer days are with us as we begin MCAS, AP exams, and Spring sports. As we advance throughout the school year I am constantly reflecting on providing extended opportunities to our students. This year, several of our SENIORS are participating in 4th quarter internships and are responsible to fulfill 25 hours (per week) of career-related responsibilities for the remainder of the year. I would like to thank our partners! This summer we will again offer a virtual online summer school. Students and parents will need to review grades and summer school credits. I am sure our guidance staff can help! Recently our seniors celebrated their future plans with "decision day." I am excited for them as they begin their new journey in life. Additionally, our Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the class of 2018 have been announced - Congratulations to Heather Milliken and Charlotte Arsenault! Do not miss out on the many events planned for May and June. Please check your emails and OneCall messages. We would love to see you there! Happy Spring! CHARGER STRONG. Helping to achieve our mission, I am excited to present the Program of Studies to help guide students and parents through the course selection requirements. Students have the unique opportunity to create a more personalized program of study based on their interests and abilities. The offerings you will find have been well-defined and structured to meet all of our students. Please make use of all available resources while creating your schedule. While exploring your academic interests, I encourage you to explore our co-curricular offerings. Many of our students participate in athletics, music, fine arts and dozens of activities that will help develop well rounded students. As you read through your Program of Studies please pay close attention to our graduation requirements, promotion requirements, and the course description and level of study you select. Along with your guidance counselor, you will have the opportunity to identify your educational goals and expectations. Please view this process seriously and pursue your goals vigorously. Our goal is to create an atmosphere for all students that is supportive and challenging. We want all of our students to maximize their opportunity here at Blackstone-Millville. I encourage students and parents to ask questions during this process. If we can be of any assistance please know we are here to help. We look forward to working with you.
